Referring to number 4 in the roadmap:
- 4°) Export of the Rules in MQL4 format.

Does this mean we'll be able to export rules to a complete tradeable EA in MQL4?
i.e. NM will be a no code EA builder solution soon?

Yes, it means that we will include a feature that will translate the rules in to MQL4 format,
Technically, this is not hard to implement. Translating from MQL4 format is harder though

That is great to hear. I'm sure many would find it very useful, being able to create strategies, backtest them and then export the good ones to test/trade in MT4.

Agree, translating from MQL4 would be trickier. There are many ways to code for the same output.

Hi, maybe I misunderstood, but under your Roadmap, 4) Implementation of the import feature for MQL4/Pinescript indicators/strategies. Does this mean import from tradingview/pinescript to NM only, or will it also include being able to export the Rules to Pinescript/tradingview?

Hi,
Yes, this mean that we plan to implement the feature to import from Tradingview to NM.
But the reverse (from NM to TradingView) could be done as well in another item, since the 2°) is the same but for Metatrader

Hi,

I'm seriously considering to buy Naked Markets:

I'm kind of leaning toward Forex Tester because they have the following:

1.) Tick Data
2.) Ability to import MQL4 script and backtest
3.) They even have an optimizer
4.) Trailing SL

Can I get a time in the ballpark of when you might have these? Tick Data are nice to have when needed. Same can be said about the optimizer, as you have to be really careful to not overfit a strategy.

One thing I really like about Naked Markets is that I can easily jump to the next session of interest for me.

Hi,

You can see on this page, other differences between Forex Tester and NakedMarkets :
https://www.naked-markets.com/index.php/interfaces/
As you can see, several features are not provided by Forex Tester, contrary to NakedMarkets : detailed statistics, Graphical strat/entry/exit without coding skills, quality data with real spread for free, fast backtest, TradingView interface, ...

About the features you are interested in :
1°) Tick data is the next big feature to implement. But, except if you trade M1 timeframes, you don't need it because in our M1 data, we have included all the historical spread within. This is the main goal of using tick, using real spread. For information, under Forextester, if you don't explicitly use Ticks (and pay for it), these are randomly generated out from nowhere (like Metatrader).
2°) We hope to do this in the next 6 months
3°) It's not on the roadmap yet. As you said, it can be useful but it's easy to overfit a strategy with it.
4°) You can do Trailing SL with NakedMarkets, even better than with Forextester. In NM, you can define exit rules, as you want, to trail exit depending on indicator values for example.

Hello,

since it seems to be extremely quiet whole year,

is development still in progress , especially: "implementation of the import feature for MQL4/Pinescript indicators/strategies."

?

(just was wondering for the silence and also it seems there is zero motion to get a broader customer base, kinda like slowly fizzle out)
