Marktet orded not closing

Post by martinboye »

Hi,

For some reason a market order did not close even though prices surpassed the defined TP level multiple times. (screenshot 01)

Instead I am stopped out. (screenshot 2)

Any idea why this happened?

Kr,
Martin

Hello, since you are in M1 timeframe, one reason the order wasn't closed could be the spread. You can check again with both Ask and Bid lines displayed and see where the difference is. You could also try to set up spread to 0.0 and see the order closed directly on TP line.

Hi j2rgus,

Thanks for your reply. It would make sense if the "problem" is caused by the spread. I will try your suggestions with putting the ask and bid lines on the chart. However, I don't know how to do that  Can you perhaps guide me? Thanks.

Hello martinboye
You can enable it in Chart Properties which you can access via Chart interface.

Hello j3rgus,
Thanks again - and it was indeed the spread that caused the orders not to close.
Cheers,
Martin
