Timezone when backtesting

Hi,

Here is a scenario:
I am trying to backtest crude oil and I wish to conduct the backtest in the EST timezone (US Eastern).
The reason is I am trying to test a day trading strategy that can only trade after 6pm EST and must close all orders before 4:59pm EST.

I do not wish to hold any trades open overnight.

Therefore I need to know, somewhere, or setup this time to be visible for when I am manually backtesting.

I am also wondering if I can select my own timezone to be visible ?

To know when I need to be at the computer to place trades ?

Would someone please assist?
It would really help if someone could attach a screenshot of this in "Create a Backtest".

Hi,

As we understood, you'd like to change the timezone of your backtest to be EST+00, to fit your location.
You can change the timezone of the backtest when creating it, as you can see here :

You can change the timezone display on the screen with the list on the top-right corner. If you choose EST, you can see that GMT-5 is equivalent to EST+00.

Thanks.

Would you please check below, if I've set it correctly?

My local timezone is Sydney, AU.

I wish to trade between the hours of 6pm EST until 4:59pm EST, without holding any trades overnight.

Yes, it looks good,
The 6PM EST is related to the 10AM in your local timezone and 4:59PM EST is related to 8:59AM in Sydney Timezone
