My local timezone is Sydney, AU.

I wish to trade between the hours of 6pm EST until 4:59pm EST, without holding any trades overnight.

Re: NM - Futures backtesting?

Thanks for the reply,

Here are a couple data providers:

https://firstratedata.com/

https://eoddata.com/products/default.aspx - for this one Gold and Platinum have US Futures data included.

They have info for commercial customers:

The reason is I am trying to test a day trading strategy that can only trade after 6pm EST and must close all orders before 4:59pm EST. I do not wish to hold any trades open...

NM - Futures backtesting?

Hi, Is NM capable of backtesting futures instruments, e.g. the symbols found in Ninja Trader? I know that CFD products are meant to reflect futures, but there can often be a difference in the symbol pricing due to different brokers, and swap rates tend to vary from broker to broker. If not, may I re...

Fast Backtest - How does it trade? (last candle or every tick)

Hi,

Does Fast Backtest open trades on close of last candle, or does it check for the conditions on every tick?

Re: Close all open trades after X bars

I am trying to achieve the below: On the daily timeframe: If: Candle(1)close>candle(1)open && Candle(2)=close<candle(2)open Then: Buy (mkt) 0.1 (as an example) And: On the 1 hour timeframe: Close trade during 4th daily candle at 11am (AEST) See the below: MCL1!_2024-02-26_14-33-17_LONG_ENTRY...

Close all open trades after X bars

Hi,

I am trying to figure out how to close my open trade after 3-4 bars after the trade is open, regardless of floating profit/loss.

I have tried the below and it's not working.

Would someone be able to provide some help?

Fast Backtest

Hi there, I am really impressed with the features of this software! I wanted to ask, when I've set up the Fast Backtest like the below, does it attach ALL of those rules (all six of them) onto the ONE chart? In other words, do all those rules go on a single chart, and this chart is then fast backtes...
